Our Story

About Me – Babatunde Sobola, Founder of Cleanbow

I started my cleaning business by accident while studying Mechanical Engineering at university. What began as a simple mobile car valeting service grew into something much bigger. Over the past 14 years, I’ve taken my business through all kinds of transformations—carpet cleaning, domestic and commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, and even exterior cleaning. I also ran a cleaning supplies business, which gave me the privilege of supporting other cleaning providers and in-house cleaning managers, helping them manage their teams better and deliver top-notch cleaning services.

Then COVID-19 changed everything. It made me realise how much I enjoy helping other cleaning business owners get their strategy right and run their businesses more effectively. I’ve always believed that cleaning isn’t just about wiping surfaces—it’s about delivering the best service, looking after the people doing the work (morally and professionally), and reducing the environmental impact of cleaning.

The truth is, while anyone can clean, not everyone can be a professional cleaner. And while many people dream of starting a cleaning business, not everyone can handle the day-to-day demands of making it successful. That’s why I started Cleanbow—to give cleaners, cleaning contractors, and in-house cleaning managers the right knowledge and training to be excellent at what they do.
